Stuart Lake Hospital Auxiliary

Stuart Lake Hospital looks over beautiful Stuart Lake in Fort St James, B.C. We are 160 kms by road from Prince George and 65 kms north of Vanderhoof. The hospital sees patients from the town, regional areas and nearby Aboriginal communities.

The Stuart Lake Hospital Auxiliary is a non-profit society dedicated to provide volunteer support service and financial assistance for patient care and comfort in Stuart Lake Hospital. We do support other health related initiatives outside of the hospital as needed. We are under the Society Act of British Columbia and registered with the Canada Revenue Agency. We also belong to the B.C. Association of Health-Care Auxiliaries.

The Stuart Lake Hospital Auxiliary formed on Nov 17th 1966, with our hospital opening in 1972. Thought out the years many dedicated Auxilians have kept our society active and we are respected in the community as a group who “does good”. We fund raise and handle donations from our very generous community members. They know the money will be used in a beneficial and meaningful manner.

We hold monthly meetings from September to June the second Wednesday of the month at 7pm at the Stuart Lake Seniors Center (until our old Hospital is replaced). All are welcome!!!

The new Stuart Lake Hospital is under construction at this moment. The existing facility remains in service.
